शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशं,

विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्ण शुभाङ्गम् ।

लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यम्,

वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं सर्वलोकैकनाथम् ॥

shaantaakaaram bhujaga-shayanam padma-naabham suresham vishvaadhaaram gagana-sadrisham megha-varnam shubhaangam lakshmeekaantam kamala-nayanam yogibhir-dhyaana-gamyam vande vishnum bhava-bhaya-haram sarvalokaikanaatham

"I offer obeisance to Visnu, the peace-creator, reclining on a serpent, with a lotus coming from his navel, lord of the deities, supporting the entire Universe, similar to the sky, the colour of a cloud, with beautiful limbs, beloved of Laksmi, with lotus pupils, attainable for yogis by meditation, the one who removes fear of worldly existence, the one protector of all worlds."

ViṣṇuはAnanta蛇の上に横たわりヘソから蓮の花を咲かせ、神々の主であり全宇宙を支え、空のような存在で、雲の色をしており、手足は美しくLaksmiに愛され、蓮の花の瞳を持ち、瞑想によってYogiに到達した、世俗的な存在への恐怖を取り除き全き世界の守護者。
